BIPOC IEP Student Interpreter Grant – Recipient Keshia Sullivan

SLIAO is excited to announce the 1st recipient for the 2020 BIPOC IEP Student Interpreter Grant – Keshia Sullivan! We wish Keshia the very best as continues her studies to become an ASL-English interpreter and look forward to continuing to support her in her journey.

First and foremost, I want to thank SLIAO for selecting me as the recipient for this grant; it is truly an honour. There are truly no words to express how grateful and humbled I am. Not only does this grant alleviate the financial pressures that this school year brings, but it is also an investment being made in my development and training by a community of my future colleagues. This grant will allow me to dedicate more time to my studies and to seek further opportunities to volunteer in the Deaf community and to give back to those who have already given me so much.” – Keshia Sullivan
